菊花開(きくのはなひらく)｜Chrysanthemum Blooms

秋の七十二候・菊花開（きくのはなひらく）がテーマです。
(菊花開の時期は10月13日から10月17日頃)

今回描いたのは、小菊に分類される
「ハマギク」です。

品種改良された大菊・中菊の持つ、
「作られた美しさ」も良いのですが、
やはり私は、野菊としてこの季節に野生する
自然の力強さを伝えたいと思いました。

ハマギクは、秋の海岸を彩る菊の花で、
野生場所も、青森から茨城までと
限られています。
秋になり、花も少なくなると同時に、
人影も消える寒く寂しい海に
寄り添うようにして花を開かせます。

そして冬の厳しさに身を潜め、
次の春を待ちます。

人の暮らしのようですね。

ちなみに上記以外の場所に咲くハマギクは、
人工的に栽培されたものです。

出会うならばやはり、
遠い昔から野生する地が良いなと
私は思います。
　
〜七十二候について〜
七十二候とは、日本の一年を
71個に分けたものをいいます。
四季よりも詳細に日本の季節の移り変わりを
表現しています。
本来中国から渡ってきたものですが、
江戸時代に日本の気候に合わせて
作り直されました。

And hiding from the harshness of winter
Waiting for the next spring.

It is just like the life of a human being.

By the way, the Hamagiku that blooms in places other than those mentioned above is artificially cultivated.

If you are going to encounter them, it is better to see flowers blooming in nature.
